Africa-Press – Kenya. Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has said that Kenyans have moved on and they are happy with President William Ruto’s administration. This is after Azimio leader Raila Odinga issued an 8-point ultimatum to the Kenya Kwanza administration during his rally at Kamukunji grounds on Monday.
In a statement on Monday, Cherargei said that Raila’s speech at Kamukunji was confusing and full of empty threats. “Tinga’s speech at his rally sounded hollow, incoherent, confusing and full of the usual empty threats laced with undertones of anarchy and lawlessness. Kenyans have moved on and are very happy with the government of Ruto,” he said.
In his speech, Raila listed an eight-point ultimatum to the President during the rally. First, the opposition chief said he does not recognise President William Ruto as the head of state and demanded an audit of the August 9 polls by foreign agencies
He rejected the 2022 presidential election results, saying his victory was stolen. Raila further demanded records of the 2022 elections at IEBC. He rejected promises by Kenya Kwanza and UDA policies
The opposition chief rejected any attempts to reconstitute IEBC. He further called upon Kenyans to resist and demand for the removal of punitive taxes on basic commodities and services.
Raila finally demanded the resignation of the government for lack of ability to govern and called on Kenyans to say no to the UDA regime and unfair policies.
