Africa-Press – Kenya. Homa Bay MP Peter Kaluma has listed the needs and concerns of people in his constituent ahead of President William Ruto’s visit. Kaluma said Ruto will be received by local leaders to present more other needs.

“President Williams Ruto is set to visit Nyanza this Friday. He’s welcome. Local leaders will be at hand to receive him and present the needs and concerns of the people,” he said.

In a ten-point list, Kaluma said the residence needs infrastructure funding and land extension for Tom Mboya University further urging completion of the Kabunde Airstrip.

Other concerns of the people include; Water provision and sewerage system in Homa Bay Town, Homa Bay County Referral Hospital Elevation, HBTC TVET and Lake Victoria Ring Road

They also include roadworks in town and across the region, the Homa Bay Irrigation project, fish farming and blue economy and Electrification. Ruto will on Friday tour Homa Bay county in his quest for development in the region.

This will be the second time he will be touring Nyanza since his inauguration in September 2022. His first visit to Nyanza, specifically Homa Bay county, after becoming president was in October 2022.

Ruto will preside over the ground-breaking ceremony for the Affordable Housing programme in Homa Bay County. He is also expected to commission Homa Bay municipal market.
