Mwingi boy who scored 313 marks in KCPE seeks financial help

Africa-Press – Kenya. Paul Mwaniki, a 15-year-old boy from Kalwa area of Ngomeni, Mwingi North, is yet to join Form One due to a lack of fees. Mwaniki scored 313 marks in his KCPE exam at Kalwa Primary School.

He said despite learning in a very challenging environment, he tried his best in order to better his life in future and that of his parents. He is appealing to well-wishers to come to his rescue so that he can realize his doctor’s dream.

He is expected to join Form One at Kyuso Boys Secondary School. Lucy Kasyoka, his mother who is a peasant farmer, said two of her sons completed Standard Eight and she has no money to take them to school for their secondary school education.

“I depend on farming for a living but for the last few seasons, the harvests have been hampered due to inadequate rains,” she said

Her husband recently lost his job as a driver and has been depending on manual jobs to feed his seven children. Kasyoka has therefore pleaded with the government and well-wishers to help her take her son to school.
