Africa-Press – Kenya. A man died in Bondo town Thursday evening after he was allegedly shot at by the police. The police had been engaging anti-government protestors in a cat-and-mouse game for the better part of Thursday.

Though information about the circumstances of his death remained scanty, his friends identified him as Dave Agan. Bondo Sub County Police Commander Robert Aboki told the Star that he would only comment later after gathering enough information.

Also, the home of Bondo Township Chief Walter Omollo was razed down under unclear circumstances. “My house has been reduced to ashes. My household items, chicken, livestock, grains and shop have all been looted,” Omollo said. Omollo blamed the police for failing to help him in good time even though he raised an alarm before the hooligans descended on his property.
