Africa-Press – Kenya. The Michael Olunga Foundation Academy (MOFA) coach, Charles Warinda has reiterated they are still in the National Super League (NSL) promotion race.
While reacting to a drab 1-1 draw with Luanda Villa at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, Warinda was quick to apologise to the fans for the blip but insisted they still have their sight on promotion to the top tier SportPesa league.
“It was tough. We didn’t meet our standards, and I understand the disappointment, but this group is united, working hard, and determined to put things right,” he remarked.
“I believe in the players and what we are building. We regroup and move forward. We need the support of the fans, and we will respond.”
Mofa dropped to fifth on the log with 49 points from 27 outings and face a tough task against promotion-chasing Equity Bank on Sunday at Mashuuru Sports Complex in Kajiado County.
Mombasa United lead the standings with 58 points, followed by Migori Youth (55), Equity (52) and 3K (50)
