Africa-Press – Kenya. The Public Service Commission (PSC) is ready for the administration transition following the announcement of the President-elect, chair Anthony Muchiri has said.

Muchiri on Wednesday said they have developed an advisory brief on the transition to a new government administration in accordance with the Constitution.

“The brief, which is intended to support a seamless transition by the outgoing Administration is segregated into nine advisories,” Muchiri said.

Muchiri said the brief reflects the focus of the Commission on matters related to establishing government strictures.

It includes advisory on a fit-for-purpose structure of a new government, advisory on recruitment and selection of Principal Secretaries, advisory of appointment letters for PSs and, advisory on delegation instrument and vesting of the role of Authorized Officer.

Others are advisory on high-level induction programmes for CSs and PSs, advisory on the exit of serving PSs and safeguards for seamless continuity of service delivery.

Muchiri also said they have developed an advisory to help manage the exiting of the outgoing administration’s advisors and other personal staff.

The brief will also aid in re-institutionalizing of performance management and transformation in the Public Service

He further added that PSC came up with advisory on devolution, inter-government relations and modalities for the transition of staff from NMS and related matters upon the lase of ‘Deed of Transfer’.
