Africa-Press – Kenya. Kenya Harlequins will be chasing their second win of the season when they make the short trip to Ngong racecourse to face rivals Nondies on Saturday.

Quins, under new tactician Amadou Diallo of Senegal, started their season on a bright note after beating neighbours Impala 29-20 in the Ngong Road derby and will fancy their chances of inflicting more misery on the white shirts, who lost 24-15 to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in their opening match.

Diallo will be seeking dominance upfront and he has handed Kabras RFC backrower Felix Makokha his debut and he will start in the back row with Mark Omoding dropping to the bench.

The tight five is unchanged with captain Elisha Koronya, Brian Waraba and Wilhite Mususi in the front row and Mike Onsando and Charlton Mokua are in the second row.

Two changes in the backline have Charles Kinyanjui and Douglas Kahuri paving the way for Dennis Ambitho and Eliud Mulakoli. Lucky Dewald, Leroy Kamau, Mark Wandeto and Dominic Osino have been retained.

Nondies have gone for the tried and tested and will start with Ian Njenga, Brian Amaitsa and Fidel Shisya in the forwards with Ken Kanyiri, Ben Marshall and Ben Salem the key actors in the backline.

In other fixtures, Menengai Oilers travel to the city to face Impala at the Impala Club.

Oilers started their season with a 25-19 win against Mwamba and Gibson Weru’s charges will be expecting a backlash from the Sarries. Kenya Simbas centre John Okoth is expected to make his debut for the Nakuru-based side.

At the same venue, Mwamba Rugby Club will face off Strathmore Leos in the 1 pm kick-off. Champions KCB Rugby will make a short trip to Kenyatta University to play Blak Blad in a 3 pm kick-off.

Kabras RFC will be in Nakuru to face hosts Nakuru while in Kakamega, Masinde Muliro will entertain Homeboyz in the final match of the weekend.
