Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto on Saturday gifted Githurai artists Sh100,000 after commissioning projects in Kiambu county. The President was addressing residents when his speech was interrupted by youths carrying a model.
Ruto was compelled to recognise the resident who arrived at the rally while displaying his piece of art. “I have seen the work you have done. Give them Sh100,000 in exchange for it,” he said amid applause from the crowd.
The model mirrored State House built inside a glass showcase, adorned with deĢcor and manicured gardens. The youths assisted the artist in handing over the sculptor owing to its sheer size and stature.
