Africa-Press – Kenya. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi now says that President William Ruto is focused on what is good for all Kenyans, regardless of their political affiliation.
Speaking on Sunday, Mudavadi noted that what was said about the president ahead of the August 2022 general elections does no define who he is. He insisted that Ruto’s full focus is on rebuilding the economy as he promised Kenyans.
“President Ruto is a leader who is focused on what he believes is good for all Kenyans and this is the resuscitation of the economy for it to work for all,” Mudavadi said. He called on Kenyans to support the president as the country embarks on this transformational journey.
“As lieutenants of President Ruto, we are ready to support his agenda and I urge all Kenyans to work together by joining hands with the President through supporting his development-oriented agenda.”
The Prime CS further called on election losers to accept the reality and move on. He added that there is no reverse gear for those doubting that Ruto is the head of state.
“A whole mark of a mature democracy is one that transits smoothly from one administration to another. This is what has happened in the transition that was undertaken and now President Ruto is at the helm of the leadership of Kenya,” Mudavadi said.
“I am also once again pleading and reminding those who have transited that time is now for President Ruto to work and deliver for Kenyans. No diversionary tactics will drift Kenya Kwanza’s eye off the ball.” Mudavadi had accompanied President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua for an interdenominational prayer service in Nakuru.
