Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto on Wednesday met with envoys from Burundi and South Sudan at State House.

The President said that Kenya shares a cordial and robust relationship with both Burundi and South Sudan.

Ruto said that during the meeting, he received a special message from Burundi President Evariste Ndayishimiye through Lt-General Silas Ntigurirwa.

He also received a special message from South Sudan President Salva Kiir, delivered by Special Envoy Albino Mathom AYuel Aboug.

“As East African Community Member States, the two countries are critical partners in our goal for peace, security, economic growth and prosperity of our people,” he said.

Ambassador Evelyne Habonimana was present during the meeting.

Other leaders present were Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’Oei, National Security Advisor Monica Juma and my Special Envoy on the Great Lakes Region Charles Keter.
