Africa-Press – Kenya. Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has told off Azimio co-principals over their no-show in today’s nationwide protests. Speaking on Wednesday in Kericho county during the Commissioning of a water supply project, attended by President William Ruto, the legislator told Azimio Chief Raila Odinga that they had not yet seen the tough side of the government.
The MP told the Azimio leaders to stop using Kenyan youths to participate in the protests further daring them to participate in the demos.
While addressing the same crowd, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said he will work tirelessly with other leaders to jealously guard President Ruto’s August 9, 2022 victory.
He reiterated that they will not fold to form a ‘handshake’ government. “They(Azimio) are attempting to get the president at State House for talks but I am hawk-eyed with snares everywhere,” Gachagua said.
“With me, just know that the president is safe with me and we shall support him to realise his manifesto, if they bring nonsense we shall deal with them.”
Other leaders present during the address were Kericho Governor Erick Mutai, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot and Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa.
