Africa-Press – Kenya. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has said the team behind President William Ruto will ensure the country re-elects him in 2027. Musalia said Ruto has no reverse gear and should soldier on as he leads the country.
“For those who doubt that Ruto won, we ask the clergy to pray for them,” he said. He also said retired President Uhuru Kenyatta should let Ruto do his job, as his time has elapsed.
“When you transit, you don’t come back to the arena, those who have transmitted should know that it’s William Ruto’s job,” he said.
“Come back to reality, Ruto is the president.” He spoke during the interdenominational service in Nakuru.
Members of Uhuru’s Jubilee party, who visited State House last week, were also present at the service. Led by EALA MP Kanini Kega, 34 members said they will support Ruto in his agenda.
” With 34 members in the National Assembly and the Senate, we will be walking and working with you your Excellency,” he said.
“By the mere fact that we are here, it shows that the fifth president is none other than William Samoei Ruto.” On Saturday, Uhuru affirmed that the party is still strong and that the members are together.
“Ata kama hatuko siasa active, bado tuko kwa ile chama tulikuwa nayo na bado tunaendelea kuunga Azimio mkono.Hakuna mambo yamebadilika,” Uhuru said.
This loosely translates to: “Even though we aren’t active in politics, we are still in the party that we were in and we will continue supporting Azimiuo. Nothing has changed.”
