We won't spare efforts in fight against doping – Ruto

Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has said that Kenya will not spare any efforts in the fight against doping. The President said that the government has set aside Sh3 billion to help in the fight against doping for the next five years.

Ruto spoke on Thursday when he met the President of World Athletics Sebastian Coe at State House. The President said the government will go the extra mile in protecting the integrity of athletics.

“We will collaborate with partners, sportsmen and their contacts to tackle doping that threatens our heritage,” Ruto said.

The President thanked the World Athletics for its consideration of Kenya’s situation. Ruto pledged to work together in creating the right frameworks for athletes to succeed. He said that he is determined to protect Kenya’s reputation and heritage as an athletics powerhouse.
