Africa-Press – Kenya. National Organising Secretary for United Democratic Party (UDA) Vincent Kawaya has urged delegates and citizens to work closely with elected leaders to seize the opportunity to grow themselves.
Speaking at Wote on Thursday during a meeting with the delegates Kawaya said that he sits in the committee of Energy in the Parliament and whenever opportunities arise, no one from the region applies.
“I always peruse or wait for a phone call for someone to call me to push him or her to a get a job but I rarely get anyone chasing after a job,” said Kawaya.
He also challenged the leaders not to be selfish with information opportunities adding that they should inform the people about them.
“We have our sons, and daughters who are learned and can easily land a job that the Government has advertised let’s take that advantage,” added Kawaya.
He promised he would personally push anyone to get a job as much as they are qualified.
To the delegates, he urged them to register more people to the Party to ensure that the President is well supported in the Ukambani region.
He demonstrated that bringing more people to the party is a way of being strong.
“The 59,000 people you registered in the past election earned the President 22 percent of the votes he got in Makueni, register more people to raise the gauge for our President Ruto come 2027,” said Kawaya.
He lauded the delegates citing that in the very little way they supported him, they made Ruto the President.
Prof Emmanuel Mutisya, former Governor Aspirant who lost to Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, urged the delegates to be keen in the upcoming UDA party election in the month of December and choose a leader with the capacity to handle problems.
He urged the leaders not to be divided but rather embrace one another to push their Agendas ahead.
Mbaluka, former MP Aspirant who lost to Mwengi Mutuse rubbished reports of having inner fights within the party in Makueni saying that they are united.
He alluded to the fact that if anyone in the party bank on division then they will not be able to fight the enemy.
