Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Lesotho Senior National Team Assistant coach Mr Bob Mafoso has stepped down from his role as Likuena assistant coach to focus on the CAF Champions League assignment, where his Namibian side, African Stars is set to commence their campaign in the continental Interclub competition in September.

Likuena will soon be returning to work to begin preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where in September they will play South Africa and Benin respectively in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

The African Stars coach, who recently clinched the league title in Namibia, joined the Likuena technical team working as the assistant coach to Mr Leslie Notsi following the departure of Serbian coach Veselin Jelusic 2023.

He was part of the Likuena technical team that led the national team to the final of the COSAFA Cup in 2023. The LeFA leadership thanks Mr Mafoso for his contribution and commitment during his time with the national team and wish him the best of luck with African Stars in the CAF Champions League.
