Africa-Press – Lesotho. African governments are joining the public in condemning Israel’s atrocities while expressing solidarity with oppressed Palestinians. South Africa has become the latest country to recall its diplomats from Israel to express concern over collective punishment of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Chad also recalled its top diplomat from Tel Aviv. A post on the Chadian presidency website said the decision was made as a sign of indignation at the regime’s relentless bombardment of Gaza.

Nigeria canceled the visit of the Czech Prime Minister at the eleventh hour. Sources say Prague’s pro-Israel stance at the United Nations on the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against Gaza was the main reason for this cancellation.

Protests also continue to take place across Africa to condemn the Israeli crimes. Recently, tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Cape Town, South Africa, demanding an end to Israeli atrocities in Gaza.

Demonstrators called on the South African government to expel the Israeli ambassador. There is no doubt that the total isolation of Israel’s apartheid regime in Africa, and indeed across the world, is just beginning.
