Africa-Press – Lesotho. Bantu Football Club (FC) Communications and Marketing Manager (CMM) Bokang Phasumane says the team makes all endeavors to keep its progression despite suspension of
football games by implementing strategies that previously worked for the team. In an interview with Informative Sport on Wednesday Phasumane enlightened that Bantu FC after being informed of the
suspension of all football games by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA), had decided to release the players but dealt with procedures that would help the
team to carry on. Asked about these strategies, Phasumane said; “Bantu FC’s 5 foreign players from the neighboring country South Africa (SA), including the local ones who reside at
the Mafeteng camp have been discharged by the team. At the moment the team is in disperse but Bantu FC technical team has formulated some online training
programs that assist and connect the players with management to strengthen their communication, share work experiences and also for the players to exchange their daily performances while away from the team,” Phasumane stated.
He further showed that online training strategy works wonders for the team as they had previously used it during the first suspension of sports activities.
“So far, Bantu FC technical team does not experience any difficulty with the use of
this approach. At first, it became a success since the team managed to attend the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) Champions league competitions
through it, that is why the team is bringing the same strategy into play again,” Bantu FC CMM revealed. Phasumane added that other than the team’s sponsors who are always supportive, another strategy
that Bantu FC National Executive Committee (NEC) has already embarked on is Bantu FC Trust Fund that became so helpful earlier. “Bantu FC is requesting
financial assistance from the team’s supporters from all its 15 branches in most of the country’s districts including Maseru, Mafeteng, Mohale’s Hoek,
Quthing, Butha-Buthe and Qacha’s Nek. Bantu FC Trust Fund is mainly practical in various works of the team including support for the well being of the players, players’ payments and also act as supporters’ burial insurance,” he noted.
