Hoek, Mataoeng in February 2020 upon a qualification and acceptance as a chartered registered auditor by the LIA. Currently, he is the sole partner of
the firm, and has 7 employees. Among many services offered, it provides audit, assurance services, business advisory services, accounting & tax services.
By profession, Rakubutu is a Chartered Registered Auditor and the sole partner of CGT & Associates Chartered Accountants. He holds a chartered accounting Certificate from the
Centre for Accounting Studies, MSc in Accounting and Finance (UK) and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). While still at the Centre for Accounting Studies, he says he fell in love with tax and
auditing. Thus After completing his General Accounting Certificate in 2014, he had an opportunity to work in one of the local audit firms. Then, started as a
trainee under the position of a manager. His transition through that firm taught him a lot about the accounting profession, especially the auditing field.
“I ventured into the auditing and accounting practice because of my passion for the accountancy
profession, development, education, training, and experience in the field,” explained Kubutu in an exclusive interview with Informative Newspaper. In 2021, the firm joined Alliott Global
Alliance, an international alliance of professional independent auditing, accounting, tax, and law firms operating in over 80 countries worldwide. The
reason why CGT & Associates joined the alliance is to learn from others, share ideas and knowledge so that consumers of the firm’s services receive advises that will improve their businesses.
