Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Government Spokesperson, Ms. Nthati Moorosi has allayed the fears of Basotho regarding the more than 500 Basotho nationals fired in New Castle, KwaZulu Natal.

In her official speech via national television on Sunday night, the Government Spokesperson mentioned that these Basotho are expected to arrive in the country on Monday (today) as there are buses already transporting them from South Africa to Lesotho.

The government has arranged these buses. “It is said that they have been fired due to the absence of permits allowing them to work and stay in South Africa,” she underlined.

Meanwhile, she noted that in a similar incidence, more than twenty Basotho have been arrested saying that once freed, the government will ensure that they are also accompanied home as negotiations are on.

The Government Spokesperson who is also the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation assured the nation that the government will keep the nation updated about this matter.
