Africa-Press – Lesotho. The Department of Lambs’ Education Department at the Department of Education and Training (ECCD Center) has warned Basotho about the benefits of enrolling children in lambs, the approach to lamb education and the benefits of lambing education.

Acting Director of the ECCD Center Ms. Tshepiso Ntšaba explained that lamb education is a basic education that focuses on the growth and care of a child from the age of three to five.

He explained that in those years it was the time when the brain was growing at an astonishing rate. He also said that it is a time when a child’s brain receives all the good or bad things that a child sees or hears in the environment in which he or she lives.

He said it was therefore appropriate to provide quality education at this age. This education provides ‘physical, mental, human, emotional and spiritual growth, this provides opportunities to address potential shortcomings in a child’s development.

The teaching of lambs is given in three forms, namely; ECCD Center, Base center and reception team. ECCD centers are schools owned by individuals, communities, churches and organizations and the child is expected to pay for school services.

The children in attendance are three to five years old. Base Center is a community school, for children aged three to five, this is a nursery school that focuses on the type of vulnerable children such as OVC and whose families need to be able to pay for school services .

In Lesotho the group is linked to public schools and churches, in high-risk areas. The education is paid for because the government pays the teachers, feeds the children and buys them equipment.

Explaining the learning methods, Nsaba said children learn in a playful, self-organized and guided way. Children also learn by imitating the people around them. He said the game accelerates the development of the child and helps the child to be identified as soon as they have growth deficits.

“This curriculum is part of the Curriculum and Curriculum 2021 which will soon be implemented to guide and organize the education of children in pre-schools,” Ntshaba explained.

In an exclusive interview with Voice of the Nation Ntsaba said the curriculum will be implemented in divisions to see if it really works. They also noted that the curriculum needed to be strengthened as it covered the education of all lambs from three to six years of age.

But let’s say this new curriculum divides children into categories. Highlighting the benefits of lamb education, Ntshasa said it was to ensure the next generation; in person, in spirit, in body emotionally and mentally especially during this period of rapid brain development.

It also trains children in their future studies based on these five adults. Lamb education accelerates care which includes proper nutrition, health and safety and prepares the child for primary school and lowers the dropout rate.

Meanwhile, LCE Teacher Instructor Mr Arone Tlali urged the Basotho to follow the correct steps when establishing lambs schools as the job requires proper training.

He pointed out that training courses were being distributed and that they already had Diplomas, pointing out that it was important for lambs schools to register with the Ministry of Education and Training.
