Africa-Press – Lesotho. Portugal forward Joao Felix has signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, from Club World Cup winners Chelsea, the two teams announced on Tuesday.

“Let’s win together… Joao Felix is a Nasraoui,” Al-Nassr wrote on X, along with a short video of the striker. “I’m here to have fun and win together,” the 25-year-old said.

Although neither club revealed any financial information about the agreement, reports indicate that the transfer might cost up to 43.7 million pounds ($58.17 million), which would include an initial price of 26.2 million plus possible add-ons of 17.5 million.

At the age of 19, Felix left Benfica to join Atletico Madrid in 2019.

He then went on loan to Chelsea for the 2022–2023 season before being loaned to Barcelona the following year. In August 2024, he moved permanently to Chelsea.

Prior to his most recent move to Saudi Arabia, Chelsea loaned the attacker to AC Milan after just six months.

At Al-Nassr, Felix will play with Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who is coached by fellow countryman Jorge Jesus.

August 19, they take play Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semifinals.
