Africa-PressLesotho. Key PR Consultancy has opened a platform for Basotho artists to gain exposure and showcase their art-work through exhibitions. Key PR Consultancy is a public relations company that aims to manage the reputation

and public perception of individuals and companies. It basically promotes and protects the image of companies and individuals, provides crisis and reputation

management, events organising, developing promotional strategies, media relations, strategic communications and branding. As explained by Key PR Consultancy Manager Thetso Letsepe, public relations is

essential in every business entity, individuals or companies, hence they intend to build, maintain and sustain mutually beneficial relationships between

organisation and their publics. He explained that they are in a process of hosting an art exhibition event for clients, who will promote their artistry

and attract more potential buyers. He furthered that, doors will be open for determined artists and those who are willing to show case their work. Letsepe

mentioned that the idea was inspired by the rate at which the Covid-19 affected the business community. “Artists and crafters also need a platform and means to

show case their work, so as painters, sculptures as well as poets to revive their fallen businesses,” he said. He went on to explain that art is exquisite

and is also a way of life. He said art is growing rapidly in Lesotho, from educated artists to self-taught artists. “Art is a growing industry but it does

not have proper platforms for recognition, however, artists strive day in and day out to get themselves out there and have their art noticed independently,”

explained Letsepe. “This is why we have decided to see to it that we create such platform for artists, for them to be recognised by the country and the international community,” he

noted. He concluded that because of no recognition in the country, some artists have lost hope in their work. He added that they are proud to be there for Basotho artists.
