Africa-Press – Lesotho. Chancel Mbemba’s free agency has taken a surprising turn. Despite his experience and fitness, the former Marseille defender is still without a club weeks after becoming available on July 1st.
According to reports, Mbemba has set the bar high—demanding a salary greater than the €320,000 he earned at OM, along with a hefty signing bonus. While clubs in France and the Gulf, including Paris FC and Saudi sides, have shown interest, negotiations have stalled due to his conditions.
Last season, Mbemba trained with Marseille’s reserves and didn’t feature in any first-team matches after falling out with club management. Still, he remains confident and determined to stay in Europe.
