The closure of the factory will leave 2700 Basotho at risk of finding ways to support their families. The Nien Hsing Group employs about 10,000 Basotho in the country, and most of them are already home and have lost their jobs due to the closure of factories.
Nien Hsing Group oversees four Glory International factories that closed in August last year, Nien Hsing International in September last year, C&Y Garments will close its doors on December next year, and there will be no only Formosa Textile will be left.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Secretary of the National Clothing and Textile and Allied Workers Union (NACTWU) has caused a disruption in many activities in the country.
