A U.S.-based Liberian and a native of Margibi County, Ebenezer J. Kolliegbo, along with his family, has donated assorted sporting materials to the Margibi County Sports Association (MSA) in support of the county’s participation in the upcoming National County Sports Meet.

The donation includes 25 pieces of customized men’s tracksuits, two footballs, and one pump.

Margibi County has been placed in Group B alongside host county Nimba as well as Bomi and Sinoe. The tournament is expected to kick off on December 14, 2025.

Presenting the materials on behalf of her husband and children on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Kakata City, Margibi County, Hannah Kolliegbo said the donation aims to support the development of young people’s talents in Margibi County, particularly in sports.

“We hope that these items will encourage these young men for their hard work, especially as they prepare to represent our county. We want to let them know that we have them at heart,” Mrs. Kolliegbo remarked.

She also urged the young athletes to remain focused and determined as they seek to bring victory to the people of Margibi County in this year’s National County Sports Meet.

Receiving the items, Margibi County Superintendent Ojay Morris expressed gratitude to the Kolliegbo’s family for the gesture, noting that the entire county leadership is appreciative of the donation.

Superintendent Morris also encouraged other citizens of Margibi County, both at home and abroad, to emulate the generosity shown by the Kolliegbo family.

He called on residents to use the upcoming national sports festival as an opportunity to unite in their diversity.

According to Superintendent Morris, the donated sporting materials will serve as a major source of motivation and help reignite the mobilization spirit the county has long yearned for.
