Africa-Press – Liberia. Extending its ongoing humanitarian outreach, the sports betting company Bettomax, in partnership with Liberia Football Association (LFA) female Upper league club Shaita Angels, donated assorted food and non-food items to the Sis Iye Children Orphanage in Bardnesville on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
The donation is part of Bettomax’s monthly community support program, carried out in collaboration with two prominent Liberian football clubs, Watanga FC and Shaita Angels.
The initiative aims to identify and assist struggling institutions, orphanages, and community homes in need of crucial aid.
Commitment to the Vulnerable
Speaking at the donation ceremony, Fallah Braima, Operations Manager for Bettomax, emphasized the company’s commitment to lifting vulnerable groups and restoring hope.
“We are excited to put smiles on the faces of those in need,” Braima stated. “We know the challenges that people running orphanages face: the congestion of the children, health issues, mattresses, and so many other things.”
Braima disclosed that Bettomax currently dedicates US$1,000 monthly to securing supplies for orphanages and health centers across the country.
He lauded the Sis Iye Orphanage for its long-standing service, noting its operations since 1990 and its provision of education from elementary through senior high.
“We are happy to be part of this journey with you,” he assured the proprietress. “This home has been operating since 1990, and you continue to help children and people in the community. This will not be our last time coming here.”
Essential Supplies Donated
The donated items included bags of rice, mattresses, cooking oil, toiletries, and other essential supplies intended to support the children during the festive season.
“This is our way of saying Merry Christmas and celebrating with you,” Braima added.
Isata C. Momo, proprietress of the Sis Iye Orphanage, extended heartfelt appreciation to Bettomax and Shaita Angels for their timely identification with the home.
“We appreciate you for coming to our aid at this time,” Momo said. “We pray that where this came from, God will replace it and add more. We promise these items will be used for the intended purpose.”
Speaking on behalf of Shaita Angels, the club’s Vice President, Ricky Teah, hailed Bettomax for its continued commitment to vulnerable communities.
“It’s a joyful season, so we decided to come and put smiles on the kids’ faces,” Teah remarked.
“We say thank you for the children. Shaita Angels is committed to helping the needy, and we hope this contribution helps improve their lives.”
The Sis Iye Children Orphanage, one of Montserrado County’s longest-serving care homes, continues to serve dozens of children despite the challenges of limited resources and aging infrastructure, making such contributions critical to its sustained operation.
