Africa-Press – Liberia. Dr. Da Monynson Tarr, the political leader of the United People’s Party (UPP), has launched a new non-governmental organization called Children’s House (CH). This initiative aims to build teams, inspire individuals, foster a culture of collaboration, and support and transform lives in Liberia.

CH envisions creating a society where the best ideas flourish for the prosperity of the Liberian community. The launch event took place recently at the Living Hope Missions Church, Congo Town Back Road, adjacent to the Ministry of Health.

Key attendees included Ameda Tarr, Executive Director of Children’s House; Mrs. Yonne N. J. Wolo; Denise Karua Jones; Rev. Abiodun O. J. Babalola, Senior Pastor of the Living Hope Missions Church; Rev. Mrs. Watchen B. Babalola, also of Living Hope Missions Church; and Hon. Romeo Clarke, Sr., Mayor-Designate of Arthington City, Montserrado County, Liberia, among others.

Romeo Clarke, Sr., emphasized the importance of recognizing and developing individual talents for personal and communal benefit. He praised Dr. Tarr and his wife for initiating a long-standing effort to assist fellow Liberians.

“The motto here says, ‘The way to be happy is to make someone else happy,’’ Clarke remarked. He stressed the need for teamwork built on shared vision and interests to avoid conflicts and ensure success.

According to Clarke, teams thrive when each member is committed to their role, leading to collective achievement.

Clarke further noted that developing talents within a team creates self-sufficiency and job opportunities, impacting the community positively. He urged team members to practice and hone their skills, contributing to a strong, cohesive unit.

He also highlighted the importance of education in fostering critical thinking and reducing naivety, stressing that educating the community empowers individuals to discuss issues thoughtfully and collaboratively.

In conclusion, Clarke expressed confidence that Children’s House will significantly benefit Liberians by providing education and skills training.

He encouraged the organization’s leadership to persist in their efforts, ensuring maximum benefit to the community and the country.

Angelique Tarr, co-founder of Children’s House, described the NGO as an organization founded on love to build and transform lives. She clarified that Children’s House is not an orphanage or school but a collective of God’s children dedicated to uplifting each other and improving Africa.

“The only way we can be happy is by being honest to ourselves and honest to our fellow friends,” Angelique said, reiterating the organization’s motto.

Ameda Monynson Tarr, Executive Managing Director of Children’s House and son of Dr. Tarr, emphasized that the launch marked the beginning of an incredible journey. He highlighted the NGO’s objective of fostering critical thinkers and self-reliant individuals in Liberia.

“As a Liberian myself, we are some of the brightest minds, and if we can only come together to work together with each other, I know the sky’s the limit, and I know that we can do it,” Ameda stated.

He emphasized the need for Liberians to solve their own problems, decrying the current prevailing dependency on external help. Children’s House aims to equip Liberians with the necessary tools to address their own challenges, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
