Africa-Press – Liberia. The political leader of Liberia’s newest political party, Citizen Movement for Change, Representative Musa Bility, is warning the governing Unity Party of President Joseph N. Boakia to desist from disrespecting and ignoring the plights of the Liberian people, while expecting their votes in 2029.
Speaking Thursday, July 24, 2025, during the launch of the party website and membership drive, Rep. Musa said the UP-led government can’t continue to disrespect the people and expect them to vote for the ruling establishment again in the next election.
“How this country has been abused, the people have been disrespected. They expect you to come in 2028-2029, after they have stolen enough from you and given you a few bags of rice, and think you should vote for them”, he cautioned.
The CMC officially launched its membership and website digitalization application system, designed to assess its political strengths and weaknesses and develop comprehensive membership data nationwide.
The launch was held at the party headquarters in Congo Town, bringing together dozens of partisans, particularly the youth and women’s movements within the party.
During the initiative, the party provided a video presentation on the system operation and system. Furthermore, as an experiment, the political leader Bility immediately filled in the information portal and was provided with his official identification card, qualifying him as member of the party in less than five minutes.
Officially launching the initiative and emphasizing its importance, Representative Bility described the official biometric eco-membership drive and website as a potential leap to the Liberian Presidency and a display of future accountability, transparency, and good governance.
According to him, they have launched the website not just to collect comprehensive data on membership, but also to promote accountability and transparency, as a government in waiting. He notes that when they ask the public for transparency and accountability, they are not just talking.
“This membership website digitalization drive of our party’s work and activities is a step toward transparency and accountability. With this website, you will learn about our financial records, including the money we are raising and spending, as well as the sources of this funding. So, this launch is a leap toward the CMC presidential victory,” he stated.
Explaining the importance of the website, he indicated that it seeks to bring membership directly in contact with them and ensure that they evaluate their membership strength in counties and districts across Liberia.
Representative Bility described the process as efficient, stating that all interested people may log into the system and fill out application and membership forms, and the data will be instantly collected, along with party identification, in less than an hour.
“Through this website, we will know what is happening in all the counties and how we can intervene. Our website is cmcliberia.org. We want to thank all of our supporters, especially the diaspora community. Over the next few days, we will visit all districts and counties to ensure that those interested in this party are registered in the system. Additionally, we will have a station office here that will be responsible for registering people. Finally, note that this system will help you to understand our policy and vision for this country, he concluded.
