Africa-Press – Liberia. Monrovia- Talented and upcoming star Sylvester Doe resister his first goal for first division outfit Global Pharma on Saturday in the Liberia Football Association first Division league.

The promising kid who joined the Pharmacists from third division outfit Patrina FC became the hero for his side when he hit in the match winning goal against Freeport FC to give Global Pharma a 2-1 win at the Tusa Field in continuation of the LFA first division league.

Freeport FC the visitors started the match on a impressive footing as they got the match opener in the 7th minute.

Things turn worse for Global Pharma when their experience defender Prince Jetoh was given a matching order for two yellow cards leaving his team to play ten against eleven men for over 70 minutes.

Coach Keatu Smith later had to substitute Oliver Sekey for Marvin Blapoh to have a stability in his defense which pay off for Global Pharma FC as they became more compact.

Sylvester Doe the youngster player on the pitch took the game on his back as he was a constant threat to Freeport FC players who couldn’t stop him.

Doe could have level the score for his side but was denied on two occasions in the first half and his passes were not utilize by his teammates resulting to the half ending 1-0 to Freeport FC.

Back from the break Sylvester Doe inspired Global Pharma FC to a comeback win.

The promising kid and teammates pushed Freeport FC until they got the equalizer from a James Richardson penalty after Doe put Samuel Sumo through who was brought down in the box by Freeport FC keeper.

Ten minutes later Sumo assisted Doe for the pharmacists second goal which ended up to be the match winner.

Sumo after a skillful display down the right flank released Doe who wasted no time but to curve the ball beyond the Freeport FC keeper range in the low right Corner.

After going down to ten men Global Pharma FC , Freeport FC fought to get the equalizer but couldn’t as the match ended 2-1 to the Pharmacists.

Saturday result kept Global Pharma FC in seventh place with 24 points while Freeport dropped down the table to tenth place with 20 points from 18 games played so far.

Speaking to FrontPage Africa Sylvester Doe said he was happy getting his first goal for the pharmacists.

“Today is a great day for me because I scored my first goal for Global Pharma, I I have work so hard for this and I hope to keep going like this,”

“It has been difficult for me since joining the team but I feel I and getting there by day,” Sylvester Doe said.
