Down Town FC CEO Roberts Encourages Players To Keep Winning

Africa-Press – Liberia. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Liberia Football Association (LFA) third division side Down Town FC Pokar Roberts is calling on his team head Coach Jaspar Koon and members of his technical staff to keep on the team winning mentality in the LFA Central Monrovia subcommittee third division league.

Roberts made the call over the weekend after his team Down Town FC defeated National Youth Street Soccer (NYSS) 2-1 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

Samuel T. D. Wilson and James Toure were on target for Down Town in both halves of the game while William P. Foday hit back a consolation goal for the National Youth Street Soccer.

“I’m calling on Coach Koon, members of his technical staff and players to keep on their winning in the league so that our long dream of qualifying for the LFA second division will come to reality and I’m please to say thank you to them for their six wins in seven games played so far,” Roberts said.

He attributed his team’s single defeat at the hands of Mamba Point Warriors to members of the team forward line failure to make better use of the several scoring chances they had in the game but called his players to remain focus in a move to qualify to the third division playoff.
