Africa-Press – Liberia. The 2025 edition of the Jamboree kicked off on Saturday, March 29, with a vibrant parade starting at the Conex Gas Station and continuing down the main street of Kakata to the tournament venue.
Kakata-based God’s Favor Kickball Club triumphed over tournament favorites, Future Girls Kickball Club, winning the grand final 5-3 in home runs at the 2025 Kickball Federation Jamboree Tournament. The event took place at the 14th Road Sports Pitch in Kakata.
God’s Favor Kickball Club completed the tournament undefeated, recording five wins to secure the championship for the first time in the club’s history since competitive kickball began in Margibi County under the auspices of the LKF-Margibi Sub association.

The tournament also marked the debut of Dream Kickball Club, alongside established teams like Future Girls, Fuamah Kickball Club (formerly Weah Girls Professional of Bong Mines), Surprise KC, Vision Sisters KC, and defending champions God’s Favor KC.
What is the Jamboree?
The Jamboree is an off-season tournament organized by the Sub association to help clubs prepare for the upcoming league season. It is the first tournament held before the league season begins, followed by the Super Cup and the start of the regular league competition.
In addition to the championship trophy, God’s Favor KC received a symbolic certificate as winners. Several players were also recognized for their outstanding individual performances:
Mawein Sackie (God’s Favor KC): MVP & Best Pitcher
Mary Holder (God’s Favor KC): Highest Home-Runner
Isaac Kaine (God’s Favor KC): Best Coach
The LKF-Margibi Sub association’s 2025 League Season is expected to kick off on April 12.
