Africa-Press – Liberia. National Bureau of Concessions Director General-Designate Mr. Hanson S. Kiazolu
The National Bureau of Concessions Director General-Designate Hanson S. Kiazolu has vowed to conduct an impartial diagnosis of NBC’s entire system to identify the institution’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Speaking during his confirmation hearing on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Mr. Kiazolu told members of the Senate Committee on Concession and Investment that the system diagnosis findings will be used to inform his decision in terms of proactive engagement of the system for desired results.
The Financial expert and former Representative of Monsterrado County District 17 added that considering the NBC’s crucial role in managing the country’s natural resources, his leadership will promote transparency in concession agreements.
The National Bureau of Concessions Director General-Designate said in strengthening legislation, upon confirmation, his leadership will enforce all existing concession laws for the benefit of all parties.
Mr. Kiazolu emphasized that he intends to carry out full digitalization of the National Bureau of Concession to ensure easy information sharing about concession information.
He described the digitalization and information sharing as pivotal to the success of the entity role in building a vibrant economy.
According to Mr. Kiazolu, he will engage strategic partners for the digitalization of the National Bureau of Concession that will afford citizens and other stakeholders the opportunities to access concession agreements.
He noted that the digitalization will ensure concession transparency and accountability and enable lawmakers to have direct understanding of concessionaires operating in their respective Districts and counties.
The NBC Director General-Designate among several other things promised to introduce an annual score-card that will be used to visualize data, track performance and make informed decisions through real time.
