Africa-Press – Liberia. The Liberia Kickball Federation (LKF) has extended its congratulations to Ecclesia and Yasmor, who have successfully qualified for Liberia’s First Division kickball league.
In a statement issued following the successful playoff tournament in Gbarnga, the LKF noted that the teams’ qualification reflects the talent and potential of grassroots clubs across the country.
Both Ecclesia Kickball Club and Yasmor Kickball Club secured their spots in the LKF First Division Kickball League after impressive performances at the recent National League Two Playoff, where the teams finished as champions and runner-up, respectively.
According to the LKF, the two clubs demonstrated consistency, teamwork, and resilience throughout the playoff, earning their places in the top tier of Liberian kickball for the upcoming season.
The federation hailed the teams’ advancement as a boost to the growth and competitiveness of women’s sports in Liberia.
“We want to congratulate Ecclesia and Yasmor for their well-deserved success. Their hard work has paid off, and we believe they will represent the Second Division proudly in the First League,” the LKF statement read.
The federation also expressed its appreciation to the local leadership and people of Bong County for hosting the playoff tournament, praising the county’s hospitality and organizational support, which contributed to the event’s success.

The LKF also recognized the significant support from Gboveh High School and the Overcomers School System for helping with accommodations for some teams, as well as from local media for providing quality coverage of the league.
The statement continued, “We cannot ignore the role played by the local leadership of Bong County in making this playoff a success. Their collaboration and support created an enabling environment for the players, officials, and fans.”
The LKF further commended all stakeholders including clubs, referees, fans, and sponsors for their tireless contributions to promoting and sustaining the game of kickball in Liberia.
The federation stressed that the collective effort of everyone involved continues to strengthen the sport and inspire young women across the country.
A total of 39 teams under the LKF participated in the playoffs, which were held at the David Konyon Sports Pitch.
The tournament successfully showcased emerging talent, strengthened competition, and determined which teams would qualify for League One.
