The team touched down in Tunis on Sunday and immediately settled into camp, where they have been holding intensive training sessions under interim head coach Thomas Kojo and his technical staff.
Foreign Legion Arrives
So far, all of the foreign-based players have joined the camp: Sheikh Sesay, Sulahmana Bah, Mark Pabai, Ayouba Kosiah, Prince Balde, Jimmy Farkarlun, Solomon Tweh captain Oscar Dorley, Divine Teah, Netus Swen and Edward Ledlum have been blending with the local contingent in tactical drills and fitness routines.
48-Man Delegation in Tunis
The Lone Star are in Tunis with a 48-man delegation, led by the Liberia Football Association’s Second Vice President Saye-Taayor A Dolo, who serves as the head of the delegation.
Also Liberia’s Minister of Youth and Sports Jerror Cole Bangalu is expected to join the team, underscoring the significance the government places on the fixture.
Team News: Key Players and Goalkeeping Debate
The squad boasts a complete set of local candidates for the goalkeeping position, providing depth and reliability between the sticks. A major absence is defender Sampson Dweh, with Netus Swen called up as his replacement.
However, fans have criticized Coach Kojo’s decision to include Kemoh Kamara, who has not played competitively in over six months.
The big question ahead of the Tunisia clash is whether Kojo will pair Prince Balde with Kamara, sticking with experience, or with Netus Swen, who is fully match-fit.
Team captain Oscar Dorley is expected to lead the team from the middle of the park and will be a key player to watch, while promising new boy Sulahmana Bah is set to make his international debut, adding excitement for fans and the technical staff alike.
Eyes on September 4
Liberia faces a stern test against a Tunisia side known for their pace, physicality, and depth.

The Lone Star currently sit third in their qualifying group with 10 points, six points behind group leader Tunisia and two points behind second-place Namibia.
A positive result in Tunis could reignite Liberia’s campaign and keep alive their dream of a first-ever FIFA World Cup appearance.
