It’s exactly four months since you took office to steer the affairs of the State. Among several local government officials to be appointed in Rivercess, only the county superintendent, alongside a few district officials was appointed. River Cess doesn’t have a finance officer, district development officer, county administrative officer, city mayor, project planner, statutory district superintendents and administrative district commissioners. This is so because there have been disagreements among relevant political actors on names suggested for consideration.
Mr. President, we will, in the coming days, recommend qualified Rivercess citizens to occupy the remaining positions if the relevant actors fail to submit names to your office for nomination, even though the constitution gives you the power to nominate any Liberian to positions in government without consulting anyone.
