Africa-Press – Liberia. The first football games of the second half of the season are in the books, and as usual, there were both successful and disappointing outcomes.

With a 2-0 victory over Muscat FC at the SKD Practice Pitch on Sunday, FC Bea Mountain extended their unbeaten streak to 14 league games and reclaimed first place in the standings.

If Muscat FC had defeated the unbeaten league leaders, this match might have had a different outcome.

Following LISCR FC’s 2-0 victory over Cece United on Friday, Bea Mountain temporarily slipped to second place in the standings. However, two goals from Yaya Bility and Edward Ledlum in the second half ensured that the “Gold Boys” kept up their winning ways and earned all three points.

Heaven Eleven 2-0 Nimba Kwado

They have added a few new players to their roster for the remainder of the season, and head coach Abra Fofana claims they are back to make a difference.

In the first game of the second phase at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium, Heaven Eleven defeated Nimba Kwado 2-0. Heaven Eleven took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a spectacular right-footed goal from Morris Konneh.

Karleo Anderson, a defender, scored a goal that was recorded on the FIFA World Cup’s official Facebook page. His rocket stunner from the middle of the field gave Coach Fofana’s team a comfortable victory.

Jubilee 0 – 0 Watanga

Watanga, the defending champions, dropped to third after missing two penalty attempts against Jubilee FC at the SKD.

Jubilee, on the other hand, failed to take advantage of their excellent opportunities either, resulting in a scoreless draw. Jubilee still finds itself in the bottom three with 10 pints from 14 matches.

LPRC Oilers 2-4 Mighty Barrolle

On Thursday at Tusa Field, Mighty Barrolle earned the biggest victory of the final round. 18-year-old Nuch Zohn, who scored four goals in their 4-2 victory over the LPRC Oilers, was the week’s top performer.

In this year’s campaign, Zohn’s goal at the 20-second mark of the first period was the quickest thus far. Despite having the early advantage, Barrolle took control of the situation.

They wasted no time in extending their lead by three more goals through the quick-footed Zohn.

The Oilers pulled one back through Ebenezer Solo’s free-kick goal in the closing minutes of the first half before registering the second goal in the second half.

Kindness Cole, a member of the Liberia U17 national team, received praise for his outstanding play during the game. In charge of the midfield, Cole contributed three assists to the four goals.

The win moved Barrolle up two spots to sixth place, ending their three games winless run.

IE 1-1 Nimba United

Invincible Eleven, a traditional club, don’t seem motivated to move out of the danger zone. Despite the significant player investment, the “Sunshine Yellow Boys” played to a 1-1 draw against Nimba United, another team in danger of being relegated.

Sandi 1-2 Freeport FC

Thanks to goals from midfielder Tony Giah and recently acquired player Darius Johnson, Freeport FC defeated Sandi FC 2-1 and was able to move above the relegation zone on goal differential. In the 71st minute, Melvin Roesler scored on a penalty kick to provide some consolation for Sandi.
