Africa-Press – Liberia. Bah’s performance earned him the league’s Golden Boot and drew the attention of top-tier clubs, culminating in his transfer to Sliema Wanderers.

Liberian striker Sulahmana Mamadu Bah has joined Sliema Wanderers, one of Malta’s most successful football clubs, ahead of the 2025/26 Maltese Premier League season.

Bah, who was unveiled by the club on Sunday, makes the move following a standout season with Żurrieq FC in the Maltese Challenge League, where he emerged as the league’s top scorer with 23 goals and added two assists to his name.

His performance earned him the league’s Golden Boot and drew the attention of top-tier clubs, culminating in his transfer to Sliema Wanderers.

The forward will wear the number 17 jersey for the club, which holds over 25 league titles in its history.

“I’m grateful to Sliema Wanderers for believing in me,” Bah said during his unveiling. “I worked hard last season, and now I’m ready to prove myself at this level. I’m here to give my all for this team and its supporters.”

Club officials praised Bah as a “natural finisher” known for his pace, technical ability, and strong work ethic. They expressed confidence that the Liberian forward will play a key role in their campaign for domestic titles this season.

Bah’s move to Sliema Wanderers marks a significant milestone in his career and has been met with enthusiasm in Liberia, where football fans and stakeholders continue to follow the progress of players representing the country abroad.

“This is a proud moment for our football family,” said Abel Thomas, a local football administrator. “When one of our own makes it to the top, it gives motivation to young players back home who are dreaming of similar paths.”

With preseason already underway, Bah is expected to integrate quickly into the squad and participate in upcoming friendly matches as he adjusts to the demands of the Maltese Premier League.
