Africa-Press – Malawi. Nyasa Big Bullets striker Babatunde Adepoju is expected to undergo a medical tomorrow in South Africa before completing his move to National First Division side, Venda Academy.

Bullets Chief Administration Officer Albert Chigoga confirmed the development saying Babatunde went to Nigeria to process his Visa to South Africa, which has been granted.

“Babatunde has processed his passport and his medical is due Monday [tomorrow],” he said. Chigoga said both teams were waiting on the medical results before finalising transfer terms.

“Once he passes medical we will then settle the rest with our counterparts,” he said.

Babatunde won the 2022 TNM Super League season Golden Boot with 18 goals to become the first foreigner to do so. He beat second-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers striker Muhammad Sulumba, who netted 15 goals.

The Super League Golden Boot was the third accolade for Babatunde, who also won the 2022 FDH Bank Cup top scorer award and as the 2021 Airtel Top 8 Cup Golden Boot. Babatunde joined Bullets from their sworn[1]rivals Wanderers, where he had moved from the defunct Masters Security.

Venda Football Academy. Previously played in the Safa Second Division before moving to the National First Division at the start of the 2021-22 season when, businessman Robinson Ramaite purchased the franchise from Cape Umoya United.
