Africa-Press – Mauritius. Prime Minister Mr. Pravind Jugnauth met with the President of Togo Faure Gnassingbé at the Washington Convention Center on Tuesday, December 13. The two men reviewed the relations between our two countries and discussed possible projects that could be beneficial to Togo and Mauritius.
In particular, there was talk of collaboration in the financial sector and African efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change. The head of the Mauritian government also met Filipe Nyusi, the President of Mozambique.
The two men spoke in particular of the progress made by the two countries following the last visit of the Mozambican President to Mauritius. There was also talk of the resumption of the work of the Mauritius-Mozambique Joint Commission.
The Prime Minister also attended a dinner hosted by the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. Mr. Pravind Jugnauth was accompanied by his wife Kobita Jugnauth and the Mauritian Ambassador to Washington, Mahen Jhugroo.
