Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially opened the media accreditation process for the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers CAF Play-Offs, scheduled to take place in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025.
According to CAF, approved and accredited journalists will receive a single accreditation pass granting them access to cover all three matches—two semi-finals and the final—at the designated venues in the Moroccan capital. The accreditation process will close on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
The play-offs will determine Africa’s final representative for the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The semi-final fixtures promise thrilling encounters among some of the continent’s biggest football nations. In the first semi-final, Nigeria will lock horns with Gabon on Thursday, November 13, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex, with kick-off slated for 17h00 local time (16h00 GMT).
Later that evening, attention will shift to the El Barid Stadium, where Cameroon face DR Congo in the second semi-final, kicking off at 20h00 local time (19h00 GMT).
The winners of both matches will advance to the grand final, set for Sunday, November 16, at 20h00 local time (19h00 GMT), once again at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex.
CAF’s decision to centralize the play-offs in Rabat underscores Morocco’s growing reputation as a premier destination for major continental football events, thanks to its world-class infrastructure and organizational excellence.
Media professionals interested in covering the matches have been encouraged to apply before the November 8 deadline through CAF’s official accreditation portal.
With four African giants—Nigeria, Gabon, Cameroon, and DR Congo—vying for a coveted World Cup slot, the Rabat play-offs promise drama, passion, and high-quality football as the continent’s road to North America 2026 reaches its climax.
