Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Kailesh Kumar Singh Jagutpal, welcomed the Consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Dennis Bittisnich, today, in Port Louis.
Dr Bittisnich has been actively involved in the drafting of the Food Act 2022 and the forthcoming Mauritius Food Standards Agency Bill. He has more than 20 years’ experience in review, development and management of food, nutrition and biosecurity regulatory control programmes in Australia and internationally.
He reviewed food control systems in several countries including Abu Dhabi, Sudan, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, and a number of Pacific Island Countries.
