Africa-Press – Mauritius. To commemorate the 30 years of the Mauritius International Financial Centre (IFC), the Ministry of Financial Services and Good Governance, in collaboration with the Financial Services Fund, launched a new metro wrapping with the Mauritius IFC 30 years logo at Caudan Metro Station on Friday 02 December 2022.
The Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance, Mr Mahen Kumar Seeruttun, and other personalities participated in the unveiling ceremony. It is recalled that Mauritius set out to develop its financial services sector in 1992 with the enactment of the Mauritius Offshore Business Activities (MOBA) Act and the setting up of MOBA which was the regulator for non-banking financial services sector.
The MOBA was subsequently replaced by the Financial Services Commission. Several other activities were held to mark the 30 years of the Mauritius IFC. These included webinars, conferences, promotional campaigns, roadshows amongst others.
