Motion of Thanks Debate Continues in Mauritian Parliament

Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Mauritian National Assembly will hold three more sessions to debate and adopt the Motion of Thanks to the Presidential Address, proposed by Babita Thannoo of Rezistans & Alternativ. These sessions are scheduled for next Friday, Tuesday, March 4th, and Friday, March 7th. Key government figures, including Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, Deputy Prime Minister Paul BĂ©renger, Environment Minister Rajesh Bhagwan, and Opposition Leader Joe Lesjongard, will participate, along with a concluding speech by Babita Thannoo.

Yesterday’s session saw 17 parliamentarians contribute to the debate, with Trade Minister Michael Sik Yuen adjourning the proceedings until Friday. Further coverage of yesterday’s speakers will follow in a future edition.
