Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Prime Minister addressed the G20 Heads of State and Government on Sunday, at the third session of the “Leader’s Summit” centered on the theme, “One Future”.

In his speech, the Head of Government pledged for the setting up at the earliest of a ‘Loss and Damage Fund’ for the most vulnerable. Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth also addressed the issue of food security, stressing that access to healthy and sustainably produced food remains a prerogative.

The Prime Minister further called for dialogue in order to end conflicts prevailing globally. He indicated that the quest for peace requires more than just the absence of conflicts.

Mr Pravind Jugnauth advocated for the need of justice and equity, and invited the G20 countries to be driven by a spirit of “Global Dharma”. Earlier today, the Prime Minister and his spouse paid their respects at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi in Rajghat.
