In his address, Minister Toussaint highlighted that it is a proud moment for Mauritius to be hosting the Championship for the first time adding that the event will portray the sporting spirit of the country on the international front.
He encouraged local athletes to give their best in the competition and fly the Mauritian Flag high by winning medals.
Furthermore, the Minister underlined that it will be a great opportunity for the young athletes to discover their talents and learn from the champions.
He thanked all the collaborators who have joined hands for the holding of this event adding that the Ministry will provide its full support to the MYA for this competition to become an annual feature.
