Africa-Press – Mauritius. At the’Alliance Lepep meeting in Phoenix, outgoing Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth announced that his next government would offer interest-free financing to small and medium-sized enterprises. He also mentioned an additional end of year bonus, a 14th month, for all employees and residents.
He said the government would take over the bonus for SMEs and the self-employed. Pravind Jugnauth also announced a 10% VAT reduction on the « products most frequently used by Mauritians », including’eau, juices, soap, detergent, clothing and footwear.
During his speech, he also reviewed the record of his government and recalled the recently announced electoral promises, such as the extension of the Metro Express through other’ regions, the interest-free mortgage for young people and free transport for widows and widows, among others.
