Africa-Press – Mozambique. President of Frelimo Filipe Nyusi on Monday praised members of the party in Inhambane for mobilising support for victims of natural disasters in the central and northern regions of the country.
Speaking in Inhambane at an extraordinary session of the party’s Provincial Committee extended to other members, Nyusi said that Inhambane was renowned for its supportive and welcoming spirit.

“I want to congratulate you on this involvement, on the solidarity that you have been showing to our brothers in the province of Cabo Delgado: the support, the hosting, the affection, which has also happened with the case of the cyclones to which we are also vulnerable. Every time I come here, they tell me: “Watch out, Inhambane! Winds pass through here, but still we are able to look after others. I want, from the bottom of my heart, to salute this way of being, this solidarity that we all have,” he said.
The Frelimo party president also praised party members’ commitment to the prevention of Covid-19.
The meeting’s objective was to assess Frelimo’s performance and the governance of the various decentralised organs of state.
