Africa-Press – Mozambique. Seven people from Nhamayabué village have died at the Zambezi river in Mutarara district, Tete province, since the beginning of the year.
The victims were residents of the municipal village of Nhamayabué, attacked by crocodiles while drawing water from the river for their daily requirements.
Compared with the same period last year, human-wildlife conflict has seen a slight reduction – in the order of 5%.
The Mutarara district administrator notes that the implementation of two water sources close to the riverside communities was underway, with the aim of reducing the incidence of fatal human-wildlife conflict.
