Africa-Press – Mozambique. At least 13 people died and 10 were injured in a road accident in Alto Ligonha, Zambézia province, central Mozambique, on Saturday – the second of this severity in the country in about a month.
According to health authorities, three women, seven men and three children died at the scene of the accident on National Highway Number 1 (N1) in Gilé district, while the injured were transported to the Nampula Central Hospital and Alto Molócue District Hospital.
The cause of the accident was a tire bursting on a passenger minibus, which then crashed and overturned.
In Chimoio, Manica, four people died and nine were injured this Sunday in a road accident on their way to worship.
On September 7 of this year, 20 people were burned to death when an overloaded passenger transport vehicle collided with a cargo truck and overturned in Barué, Manica province, central Mozambique.
