Africa-Press – Mozambique. Cameroon completed a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Mozambique in their final Group F encounter at the Africa Cup of Nations, coming from level at the break to claim all three points at full time. In an entertaining contest played on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, the Indomitable Lions showed resilience and composure to turn the game in their favour after a lively first half.

Mozambique had struck first in the 23rd minute through Geny Catamo, who capitalised on a positive start from the Mambas to put them ahead. The lead was short-lived, however, as Cameroon drew level five minutes later when Nené unfortunately turned the ball into his own net under pressure. The opening half produced end-to-end football, with Cameroon enjoying slightly more of the ball, and the teams went into the interval locked at 1–1.

The decisive moment arrived ten minutes into the second half when C. Kofane found the breakthrough in the 55th minute, giving Cameroon the lead for the first time in the match. Mozambique pushed for an equaliser, but Cameroon managed the closing stages effectively to see out the win. The result saw Cameroon finish on top in a closely contested match, while Mozambique were left to reflect on a spirited performance that ultimately went unrewarded.
